Increases newspaper publication fees for summons, orders, citations and legal notices from 12 cents to 20 cents per word for first insertion and from 10 cents to 18 cents per word for subsequent insertions.

Allows publishers to charge per-line fees as an alternative, not to exceed the per-word rates specified, if acceptable to the party placing the publication.

Mandates annual fee increases starting July 1, 2025, at a rate comparable to the Consumer Price Index (CPI).

Requires correction procedures for erroneous publications, including prominent website display within two business days, posting to the Mississippi Press Association database, and publication in subsequent newspaper editions.

Effective date is July 1, 2024.
