Allows retired members of the Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS) to be employed full-time in positions where their employer has a critical need or shortage of employees while drawing their full retirement allowance and receiving full salary.

Requires employers to provide the retirement system with satisfactory evidence containing quantifiable numbers demonstrating a critical need for or shortage of employees before hiring a retiree under this provision.

Requires employers to provide satisfactory evidence that the retiree has the necessary education and experience for the position with critical need or shortage.

Maintains existing requirement that retirees wait at least 90 consecutive days after retirement before being reemployed.

Takes effect July 1, 2024.
