Amends Section 45-1-19 of Mississippi Code to clarify that Capitol Police can enforce violations of any municipal code or ordinance of the City of Jackson within the Capitol Complex Improvement District.

Expands Capitol Police authority to enforce violations of municipal codes and ordinances (previously limited to traffic ordinances and public peace disturbance ordinances) within the Capitol Complex Improvement District and City of Jackson boundaries.

Maintains concurrent jurisdiction with Jackson Police Department and Hinds County law enforcement, with Capitol Police having primary jurisdiction within the Capitol Complex Improvement District.

Requires written approval from the Chief of Capitol Police or Department of Public Safety Commissioner before events occur on streets or sidewalks adjacent to state-owned buildings that could block access.

Takes effect July 1, 2024.
