Extends the repeal date of Section 47-7-3 (Mississippi Code of 1972) governing parole eligibility conditions from July 1, 2024, to July 1, 2027.

Maintains existing parole eligibility restrictions for habitual offenders, sex offenders, capital offenders, murder convictions, human trafficking, and drug trafficking.

Preserves parole eligibility timelines for nonviolent offenses (25% or 10 years minimum), violent crimes (50% or 20 years minimum), and geriatric parole for inmates age 60 or older who have served at least 10 years.

Requires drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs for offenders convicted of drug or DUI felonies prior to or as a condition of parole.

Takes effect July 1, 2024.
