Amends Section 57-1-14 of Mississippi Code to expand the exemption from public records disclosure to all public bodies (not just the Mississippi Development Authority) for client information concerning economic development projects.

Records containing client information about development projects are exempt from the Mississippi Public Records Act of 1983 for two (2) years after receipt by the public body.

Confidential client information is exempt during the period of review and negotiation on a project proposal and for thirty (30) days after approval, disapproval, or abandonment of the proposal, not to exceed one (1) year total.

Information required to be disclosed by certified applicants in annual reports for qualified economic development projects remains subject to public disclosure and is not protected by this exemption.

The act takes effect immediately upon passage.
