Authorizes purple paint marks on trees or posts as valid notice of trespass prohibition on property in Mississippi.

Purple paint marks must be vertical lines at least 8 inches long and 1-2 inches wide, positioned 3-6 feet from the ground, and spaced no more than 100 feet apart on forest land or 1,000 feet apart on other land.

Establishes that properly posted purple paint notice constitutes conclusive notice against persons entering the property for trespassing purposes.

Maintains existing trespass penalty of up to $50 fine under Mississippi Code Section 97-17-85 for unauthorized entry after notice.

Maintains existing penalty of up to $50 fine per notice under Mississippi Code Section 97-17-91 for defacing, removing, altering, or destroying trespass notices.

Effective July 1, 2024.
