Requires police officers to provide insurance information of all parties involved in a motor vehicle accident to each party before leaving the scene, once the accident report is completed.

Brings Section 63-3-415 forward for possible amendment regarding statewide uniform traffic accident report forms.

Maintains confidentiality of accident reports filed with the department while allowing disclosure to involved parties, legal counsel, and insurance representatives upon written request.

Establishes penalties for fraudulent obtaining of accident reports: fines up to $2,500 and/or county jail imprisonment up to six months.

Takes effect July 1, 2024.
