MS HB1880

Expands the Greater Grenada Partnership's authority to include commercial, retail, residential, tourist, and community development in addition to industrial and economic development within Grenada County and surrounding areas.

Authorizes the partnership to acquire and develop property outside county limits and to engage in workforce development and housing initiatives within or without the county.

Allows the partnership to apply for and accept grants and loans on behalf of the partnership, the county, contracting municipalities, and any contracting county from state and federal agencies.

Expands the partnership's ability to contribute funds to industrial development foundations, public housing authorities, and other economic development groups in the county or surrounding area.

Permits the partnership to enter into contracts with other local, regional, or public entities for economic and industrial development purposes within or outside the county.
