House Bill 201 Summary

• Exempts retail sales of computers, printers, printer supplies, and educational software from sales tax if priced at $1,500 or less per item, during the last Friday in July through the following Saturday.

• Exempts retail sales of feminine hygiene products, including sanitary napkins and tampons, from sales tax with no time restrictions.

• Amends Mississippi Code Section 27-65-111 to add these exemptions to the state's existing sales tax exemption classifications.

• Effective date: July 1, 2024.
