Expands Mississippi Medicaid eligibility to include individuals under 65 years of age who are not pregnant, not enrolled in Medicare, and have income at or below 133% of the federal poverty level.

Creates a new category (29) in Section 43-13-115 to implement the expansion authorized under the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

Eligible individuals under the expansion receive benchmark coverage or benchmark equivalent coverage as defined in the federal Social Security Act.

Division of Medicaid determines eligibility for expanded coverage group, with redetermination required not less frequently than federal law mandates.

Takes effect July 1, 2024.
