Amends Section 41-7-191, Mississippi Code of 1972, to remove restrictions on Medicaid participation for a psychiatric residential treatment facility in DeSoto County established by a hospital under certificate of need authority.

Deletes previous language that limited the DeSoto County facility to 15 Medicaid-certified beds and replaced it with unrestricted Medicaid participation for all beds constructed or converted under the certificate of need.

Eliminates prior conditions requiring the hospital to give priority to out-of-state patients and limiting Medicaid reimbursement to no more than 15 patients per day.

Effective date: July 1, 2024.
