Extends the repeal date of Mississippi Code Section 25-61-5 from July 1, 2024 to July 1, 2027, maintaining the statute granting public access to inspect public records.

Requires public bodies to produce public records within seven working days of a written request, or within fourteen working days if the body provides written explanation for delay.

Public bodies must redact exempted material from records while making non-exempted portions available, with reasonable fees limited to actual redaction costs.

Requires public bodies to maintain a three-year file of all record request denials, including the specific exemption cited, available for public inspection upon request.

Takes effect July 1, 2024.
