Extends the moratorium on application of trip optimizer type systems to state agencies from June 30, 2024 through June 30, 2027.

Trip optimizer systems are used by the Department of Finance and Administration to determine the most cost-effective motor vehicle travel method for state employees traveling more than 100 miles per day who do not use dedicated state vehicles.

Moratorium exempts statewide elected officials and Public Service Commission members from the trip optimizer requirements during the extended period.

The trip optimizer system must account for distance to pick up rental or fleet vehicles and long-term rate discounts in calculating the lowest cost travel option.

Effective date is June 30, 2024.
