Amends Mississippi Code Section 45-9-101 to exempt members of the Mississippi Legislature from concealed carry permit licensing requirements.

Members of the Mississippi House of Representatives and Mississippi Senate are added to the list of exempt persons who do not need a license to carry concealed pistols, revolvers, or stun guns.

The Commissioner of Public Safety must promulgate rules and regulations to provide licenses to legislators that include a distinction identifying them as members of the Mississippi House of Representatives or Senate.

The exemption applies to all standard concealed carry provisions while maintaining restrictions on carrying weapons in prohibited locations such as courthouses, schools, airports, and government buildings.

Takes effect July 1, 2024.
