Creates a Law Enforcement Supplemental Pay Program administered by the Mississippi Department of Public Safety to provide supplemental pay to local law enforcement officers

Provides $500 per year in state supplemental pay to every full-time, sworn, certified law enforcement officer employed by any municipality or county who has completed 5 or more years of service

Allows the 5 years of required service to include any service as a sworn, certified law enforcement officer in Mississippi, not limited to current employer

Requires that supplemental state pay be in addition to existing compensation and cannot be used to reduce or diminish pay from any other funding sources

Takes effect July 1, 2024
