• Authorizes municipalities that have voted to legalize alcohol sales to enforce zoning ordinances and regulations to fix zones and territories for promoting public health, morals, and safety.

• Grants county boards of supervisors similar authority to make zoning rules and regulations for territory outside municipalities in counties that have voted to legalize alcohol sales.

• Permits municipalities to enforce proper location of package retailer stores through properly adopted zoning ordinances.

• Requires the Alcoholic Beverage Control Division to refuse issuing permits that conflict with zoning ordinances adopted by municipalities or rules and regulations adopted by county boards of supervisors.

• Effective July 1, 2024.
