Removes the limitation that counties can only receive Rural Fire Truck Matching Assistance funding if they have received funding for eight or fewer rounds, allowing counties with more prior funding to continue applying.

Authorizes the Commissioner of Insurance to contract with third-party vendors to administer benefits under the Mississippi First Responders Health and Safety Act, with up to 10% of fund monies available for administration expenses.

Removes the requirement that the Commissioner of Insurance notify House and Senate Insurance Committee Chairmen before distributing funds from the Mississippi First Responders Health and Safety Trust Fund.

Increases the Municipal Fire Protection Fund from $4,850,000 to reflect 20% (instead of 10%) of growth in insurance premium tax revenue since 1990, and similarly increases the County Volunteer Fire Department Fund allocation.

Takes effect July 1, 2024.
