Amends Mississippi Code Section 83-9-5 to exclude dental services from balance billing protections that apply to hospital, nursing, medical, and surgical services.

Modifies the "Payment of claims" provision to specify that when insureds direct insurers to pay licensed health care providers directly, dentists are not included in this direct payment requirement.

Allows dental providers to bill patients for amounts above insurance payments, while other health care providers cannot balance bill except for deductibles, coinsurance, copayments, and noncovered services.

Takes effect July 1, 2024.
