Adds new paragraph (29) to Section 43-13-115 to expand Medicaid eligibility to individuals under 65 years old, not pregnant, not entitled to Medicare benefits, with income not exceeding 133% of the federal poverty level.

Eligible individuals under paragraph (29) shall receive benchmark coverage as described in Section 1937(b)(1) of the federal Social Security Act or benchmark equivalent coverage as described in Section 1937(b)(2).

The Division of Medicaid shall determine eligibility for individuals covered under the new paragraph (29).

Implementation is authorized under the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

The act takes effect July 1, 2024.
