Amends Section 13-5-25 of the Mississippi Code to add a new exemption from jury duty for elected members of the Mississippi House of Representatives and Senate, and their spouses.

Allows legislators and their spouses to claim this jury duty exemption as a personal privilege outside of open court by providing the clerk of court with information to validate the claim.

Exemption is in addition to existing exemptions for citizens over 65 years of age and those who served as grand or petit jurors within the past two years.

Takes effect July 1, 2024.
