Commends Friends of Mississippi Veterans, established in 2007 by Jack H. Winstead as Board President, for providing support to Mississippi's 200,000+ veterans.

Recognizes the organization's creation of two veterans cemeteries in Newton and Kilmichael, Mississippi as peaceful places of remembrance for the state's military personnel.

Acknowledges Friends of Mississippi Veterans' ongoing support for four state veterans nursing homes (located in Collins, Jackson, Kosciusko, and Oxford) housing approximately 600 male and female veterans.

Honors the organization's annual activities including November gift presentations to nursing home residents, December Wreaths Across America programs placing live Christmas wreaths on veteran graves, and fall fundraisers benefiting Mississippi veterans.

Expresses appreciation to Jack H. Winstead for his visionary leadership and recognizes board member Stephen Cole and other supporters of the organization's mission.
