Commends Ms. Pamela D.C. Junior on her retirement as Director of the Two Mississippi Museums effective June 30, 2023, after three years of service in that position.

Recognizes her 17-year tenure as director of the Smith Robertson Museum and Cultural Center before being promoted to lead the Two Mississippi Museums in 2019.

Notes her career highlights including retiring the 1894 Mississippi state flag in 2020, guiding Congressman John Lewis through the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum, and establishing Martin Luther King Jr. Day programming and the Martin Luther King Night of Culture at the museums.

Acknowledges her numerous professional awards including the Freedom Rider Award, Museum Leadership Award from the Association of African American Museums, and induction into the Mississippi Tourism Hall of Fame.

Directs that copies of the resolution be provided to Ms. Junior and the Capitol Press Corps.
