Encourages anyone experiencing uncontrollable, abnormal, and repetitive movements to consult their healthcare provider.

Notes that tardive dyskinesia (TD) is an involuntary movement disorder associated with prolonged use of dopamine receptor blocking medications used to treat serious mental illnesses and gastrointestinal disorders.

States that approximately 600,000 people in the United States have TD, with 65 percent remaining undiagnosed, and recommends regular screening by healthcare providers.

Directs distribution of the resolution to the State Board of Health and Capitol Press Corps.
