Commends and congratulates the Belmont High School Lady Cardinals Girls Basketball Team for winning the 2024 Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) Class 3A Girls Basketball State Championship, the team's thirteenth state championship and first since 2021.

Recognizes the team's victory over Booneville High School Lady Blue Devils (two-time defending champions) and credits their success to mental stamina, athletic prowess, swift footwork, accurate shooting, and strategic play.

Names 18 student-athletes on the roster including Carlie Brock, Alaina Hubbard, Maya Southward, and others, and acknowledges Head Coach Chris Higginbottom and Assistant Coach Harrison Fancher for their coaching and leadership.

Directs that copies of the resolution be furnished to the Belmont High School Lady Cardinals Girls Basketball Team, Coach Chris Higginbottom, and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
