Commends the 2023 Keath Killebrew Memorial Rodeo for winning the 2023 Best New Rodeo and 2023 Best Indoor Rodeo awards from the International Pro Rodeo Association, selected from over 600 IPRA rodeos.

The rodeo honored Keath Killebrew, Sr., a Mississippi farmer and entrepreneur who died in 2021, and served as the inaugural fundraiser for the Killebrew Ag Foundation (KAF).

Killebrew Ag Foundation provides post-secondary agricultural education, implements two-year paid apprenticeships on working farms for young Mississippians, and plans to build a residential Farm Academy.

The 2024 Killebrew International Pro Rodeo (rebranded from the memorial rodeo) is scheduled for June 6-8 at the Mississippi Coliseum with over 600 expected contestants from around the world.

The House extends congratulations and best wishes to Dr. Alyssa Killebrew and the foundation for their continued success in training the next generation of farmers.
