West Jones High School Mustangs Football Team completed an undefeated 14-0 season and won the MHSAA Class 6A State Championship with a 23-3 victory over Grenada High School.

Team achieved multiple championships including the 2023 South State Championship (42-13 victory over Picayune) and the 2023 Region 3-64 Championship, the school's twelfth region championship in history.

Defense ranked #1 in Mississippi and allowed only 79 total points for the season, including seven shutouts and just seven points in Region play.

Seven players were selected to the All-State Team and 18 players were selected to the All-Region Team.

House of Representatives commends Head Coach Cory D. Reynolds, assistant coaches, athletic trainers, and school administrators for their contributions to the team's success.
