SFC Williams joined the North Carolina Army National Guard in August 2011, earned a bachelor's degree in music from Mars Hill University, and later graduated top of his class from East Mississippi Community College in funeral service technology

Career highlights include Rookie of the Year in RY 19 with 22 soldiers enlisted, Honor Graduate from multiple courses, and Alpha Company Recruiter of the Year in RY 22

Currently serves as Equal Opportunity Advisor for Alpha Company of the Recruiting and Retention Battalion and has met or exceeded yearly recruiting milestones since 2018

Awards include Meritorious Service Medal, multiple Army Commendation and Achievement Medals, National Guard Recruiter Expert Badge, and Mississippi Medal of Efficiency
