Recognizes and commends the Copiah-Lincoln Community College Lady Wolves Softball Team for winning the 2023 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Softball National Championship on May 27, 2023, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, the first national championship in school history.

Team finished the season with a 49-10 overall record and 25-3 conference record, earned the first number one ranking in program history, and won the NJCAA Region 23 Championship on May 15, 2023.

Head Coach Meleah Howard was named NJCAA Gulf A District Coach of the Year, NJCAA Region 23 Coach of the Year, and NJCAA National Championship Coach of the Tournament; catcher Abby Grace Richardson was named the Most Outstanding Offensive Player and Most Valuable Player of the national tournament.

Team roster consisted of 21 student-athletes including 11 sophomores and 10 freshmen, with multiple players receiving All-MACCC honors, NJCAA All-American recognition, and NJCAA All-Academic honors.

Directs copies of the resolution to be furnished to the team and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
