Notes the college operates on approximately 126 acres in Holly Springs, Marshall County, and offers associate's and bachelor's degree programs in 16 areas of study across five academic divisions.

Highlights notable alumni achievements, including Ida B. Wells (NAACP cofounder and activist), Alvin Childress (actor), Ruby Elzy (operatic soprano), and Willie Mitchell (record executive and musician).

Directs that copies of the resolution be furnished to interim president Dr. Robert M. Dixon and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
