Honors Mr. L.C. Gladney, a lifelong Okolona resident born May 11, 1924, for his service in the United States Army during World War II, including deployment to Europe.

Recognizes Gladney's family dedication, including raising nine children with his first wife Melvina Pickens Gladney (who passed in 1966) and four children with his current wife Christine Gardner Gladney (married 45 years).

Commends Gladney's work as a farmer for over 50 years until retiring at age 97, supplemented by manufacturing industry employment to support his family.

Acknowledges Gladney's faith and community service as the oldest deacon at Palestine M.B. Church in Van Vleet, Mississippi.

Directs copies of the resolution be furnished to Mr. L.C. Gladney and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
