Commends Mrs. Cynthia M.A. Butler-McIntyre for her service as the 24th National President of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. during 2008-2013, which included the sorority's Centennial Anniversary.

Recognizes her educational credentials (B.A. from Dillard University, M.Ed. from University of New Orleans) and 30+ year career in Jefferson Parish Public Schools as a teacher, assistant principal, and Director of Human Resources.

Acknowledges her numerous honors including honorary doctorate degrees from Christian Bible College of Louisiana and Dillard University, recognition by Essence magazine, induction into the African-American Hall of Fame, and a school campus named in her honor in Haiti.

Notes her service on the Board of Trustees of the Christopher Columbus Fellowship Foundation (appointed by President Barack Obama in 2011) and multiple national boards including the National Council of Negro Women, NAACP, and National Alliance of Black School Educators.

Directs that copies of the resolution be furnished to Mrs. Butler-McIntyre and the Capitol Press Corps.
