Allows adopted persons age 21 or older to obtain a certified copy of their original birth certificate unless a court orders otherwise.

Requires the original birth certificate copy to be clearly marked "cancelled and revised."

Amends Section 93-17-205 to clarify that birth parents' affidavits prohibiting disclosure do not prevent adoptees from accessing their original birth certificates under the new Section 93-17-21(3).

Becomes effective July 1, 2024.
