Amends Section 43-19-101 of the Mississippi Code to clarify how courts should account for health insurance costs when determining child support awards

Establishes that if the noncustodial parent obtains health insurance coverage for the child or children, the cost of such coverage may be considered as an adjustment to the noncustodial parent's adjusted gross income

Adds underlined language specifying that while the custodial parent's health insurance costs are deducted from child support, the noncustodial parent's insurance costs can be factored into their income calculation

Takes effect July 1, 2024
