Deletes the requirement that professional school counselors abide by the American School Counselor Association Code of Ethics from Mississippi Code Section 37-9-79.

Maintains all existing requirements for school counselor qualifications, including a minimum Master's Degree in Guidance and Counseling.

Preserves all existing comprehensive counseling services requirements, including academic counseling, crisis intervention, career planning, and community referrals.

Keeps the requirement that counselors spend a minimum of 80% of contractual time delivering direct services to students, parents, school staff, and the community.

Takes effect July 1, 2024.
