• Creates Section 99-5-41 to specify when bail bonds become null and void, including upon defendant conviction, dismissal of charges, surrender by bail agent, or sentencing to nonadjudication or alternative sentence.

• Extends the notification period for bail surety license revocation from 10 working days to 20 working days after the Department of Insurance notifies a surety of a revocation order.

• Amends Sections 21-23-8, 83-39-7, and 99-5-25 to implement the extended 20-day notification period and surety proof submission provisions across municipal, county, and circuit court bail procedures.

• Takes effect July 1, 2024.
