Authorizes the Commissioner of Public Safety to lease or sublease space in the Department of Public Safety headquarters building to third parties for services to the department, with proceeds deposited into the General Fund and approval from the Executive Director of the Department of Finance and Administration.

Allows law enforcement officers of the Mississippi Department of Public Safety to retain one issued sidearm upon retirement, and authorizes beneficiaries of officers killed in the line of duty to retain the officer's sidearm.

Expands provisions allowing municipal and county law enforcement officers who leave employment after 10 continuous years of service to purchase an issued sidearm at an agreed-upon price determined by their employing authority.

Establishes the State Medical Examiner Task Force with nine members representing state health, medical, law enforcement, and legal organizations to replace the State Medical Examiner Advisory Council, requiring annual meetings and annual reports to the Legislature by December 31.

Removes the State Medical Examiner Advisory Council provisions from Section 41-61-55 and requires the first meeting of the new task force to be held before September 30, 2024.
