Creates Section 99-5-41 of Mississippi Code to specify when bail bonds and their obligations are discharged and become null and void.

Bail bonds are discharged when the defendant is found guilty and sentenced.

Bail bonds are discharged when charges are dismissed, nolle prosequi is entered, or charges are retired or remanded to files.

Bail bonds are discharged when the defendant is surrendered by a bail agent in open court, to law enforcement, or via verbal, written, or electronic notice to the proper jurisdiction.

Bail bonds are discharged when the defendant receives nonadjudication, an alternative sentence, or admission into an intervention court program.
