Reduces the waiting period for felony expunction eligibility from five (5) years to two (2) years after successful completion of all sentence terms and conditions.

Maintains current restrictions on expunction for specific felony categories including crimes of violence, arson, drug trafficking, repeat DUI offenses, felon in possession of firearm, sex offender registration failures, voyeurism, witness intimidation, vulnerable person abuse, and embezzlement.

Allows only one (1) felony expunction per person, with all convictions arising from the same set of facts treated as a single expunction.

Requires petitioner to provide ten (10) days' written notice to the district attorney and allows court to grant expunction if applicant is determined to be rehabilitated.

Effective date: July 1, 2024.
