MS SB2206

Amends Section 23-15-713 of the Mississippi Code to allow any duly qualified elector to vote by absentee ballot without restrictions.

Removes the previous categorical limitations that restricted absentee voting to students, teachers, employees of congressional delegations, persons with disabilities, senior citizens, and those unable to leave work on election day.

Establishes universal absentee voting access for all registered voters in Mississippi regardless of reason for absence.

Takes effect July 1, 2024.
