Allows public school teachers transferring between Mississippi school districts to carry over up to 5 days of unused personal leave to their new district (previously only sick leave could transfer for retirement purposes).

Modifies Section 37-7-307 to permit unused personal leave accumulation to be credited when a licensed employee transfers to another public school district in Mississippi, matching existing provisions for sick leave transfers.

Teachers may now carry over unused personal leave (up to 5 days) to the next school year whether they remain in the same district or transfer to another Mississippi public school district.

Effective July 1, 2024.
