Reduces Board on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Training membership from thirteen (13) to nine (9) members, including reducing Governor-appointed members from six (6) to four (4) and removing positions for higher education representative and nonsupervisory law enforcement officer.

Removes Attorney General and Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol Director from board membership, replacing them with Commissioner of the Department of Public Safety and Director of Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers' Training Academy.

Authorizes the board to conduct investigations regarding certificate revocations and subpoena documents related to revocation proceedings.

Extends continuing education training hour requirements to state agency and county law enforcement officers, in addition to municipal police officers, with the same annual hour requirements based on years of service (8, 16, or 24 hours).

Effective date July 1, 2024.
