Amends Section 37-21-3, Mississippi Code of 1972 to revise educational and certification requirements for assistant teachers in early childhood education and Head Start programs

Allows assistant teachers to possess a high school diploma/GED and a Child Development Associate credential, Montessori certification, or equivalent certification (in addition to existing associate degree options)

Maintains existing requirements for master teachers (state teaching license, demonstrated effectiveness) and teachers (bachelor's degree in early childhood education or equivalent field with additional coursework options)

Exempts personnel employed in charter schools authorized by the Mississippi Charter School Authorizer Board from these requirements

Effective July 1, 2024
