Senate Bill 2408 Summary

• Requires the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning to issue identification badges to all on-campus faculty, staff, and students at state institutions of higher learning.

• Identification badges must be issued in physical or electronic format and include "Crisis Lifeline - Dial or Text 988, or chat 988lifeline.org" or similar language.

• Applies to all state institutions of higher learning identified in Section 37-101-1 of the Mississippi Code.

• Effective July 1, 2024.
