Creates the Task Force to Study Restoration of Adequate Funding to Alcorn State University with nine members including the Alcorn State University president, Board of Trustees member, PEER director, State Auditor, State Treasurer, Director of Archives and History, and three residents appointed by the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and House Speaker.

Task force shall research historical funding data for Mississippi state institutions of higher learning to determine if Alcorn State University was underfunded compared to other institutions, particularly Mississippi State University.

Task force shall study the impact of any underfunding on Alcorn State University's students, faculty, and community, and identify opportunities for the state to address funding disparities through additional state funding.

Task force shall develop recommendations for a plan to remedy prior underfunding of Alcorn State University and secure ongoing funding parity with other state institutions of higher learning in future years.

Task force members must be appointed by September 1, 2024, and shall submit a report of findings and recommendations to the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and House Speaker before December 31, 2024; the Department of Finance and Administration and Legislative Budget Office shall provide administrative support.
