Amends Section 97-3-104 of Mississippi Code to replace the term "offender" with "person" throughout the statute on sexual activity in correctional facilities.

Expands the crime to include persons who are detained, arrested, or otherwise in custody, in addition to those incarcerated or on correctional supervision.

Applies the prohibition to jailers, guards, Department of Corrections employees, law enforcement officers, correctional facility employees, and civilians with supervisory or custodial authority.

Maintains felony penalties of a fine not exceeding $5,000, imprisonment not exceeding 5 years, or both upon conviction.

Takes effect July 1, 2024.
