Senate Bill 2467 Summary

• Exempts all real property located in areas annexed by a municipality from all municipal ad valorem taxes for 12 months after the date of annexation.

• Exempts all motor vehicles registered to an address in an annexed area from all municipal ad valorem taxes for 12 months after the date of annexation.

• Adds these exemptions as new subsections (oo) and (y) to Mississippi Code sections 27-31-1 and 27-51-41, respectively.

• Effective January 1, 2024.
