• Authorizes notaries to certify tangible copies of electronic records and allows the Secretary of State to establish maximum fee schedules for various notarial services.

• Requires notaries performing remote notarizations to include notation in certificates and journal entries indicating that communication technology was used and mandates retention of audiovisual recordings for at least seven years.

• Changes effective date from July 1, 2021 to July 1, 2024 for implementation of the revised notarial act provisions.
