MS SB2567

Creates a new "on-premises tobacco permit" allowing permittees to sell alcoholic beverages for consumption on licensed premises where cigars, cheroots, tobacco pipes, pipe tobacco, and/or stogies are sold.

Requires permittees to obtain and maintain a state tobacco permit and have a minimum capital investment of $500,000 in the premises.

Mandates that 75% of the permittee's annual gross revenue must be derived from the sale of cigars, cheroots, tobacco pipes, pipe tobacco, and/or stogies; no food sales required but food may be sold.

Imposes an annual privilege license tax of $450.00 for the on-premises tobacco permit.

Effective July 1, 2024.
