Children of active members of the United States Armed Forces may enroll in any school district and school campus of their choice, regardless of residence and whether or not the parent resides on a military base.

Children of civilian military personnel who reside on a military base may enroll in any school district and school campus of their choice, regardless of residence.

School districts are not required to provide transportation to students who transfer under these military family provisions.

Students eligible for transfer under these provisions are limited to one transfer per academic year, and once enrolled, parents need not reapply for continued admission in subsequent years unless the student is expelled.

School boards may deny transfer requests if they lack capacity to accommodate the student, which must be recorded in board minutes.
