Increases the fee compensation cap for circuit clerks in counties with a county court from $99,500 to $109,500 annually.

Circuit clerks in counties without a county court retain the existing $99,500 annual compensation cap.

Chancellery clerks in all counties continue to have a $99,500 annual compensation cap.

Fees exceeding the applicable salary limitations must be deposited into the county general fund on or before April 15 for the preceding calendar year.

The act takes effect July 1, 2024.
